:hmm: Got the Windows Vista software installed on my AMD Athlon 64 computer. I have a vATI Express 200 video card that's built into the motherboard. Vista works fine for about 2-3 minutes and then the video just shuts off -- yellow light on the monitor. The computer is still running but you can't get the video to wake up. If you shut down the computer and restart it again, it does the same thing all over again. Works fine in safe mode. I've tried the video card mfr. No Vista drivers yet. This card is suppost to be vista ready and one of the best cards to have for vista. Any ideas??

It might be a problem with a power setting. Make sure that "Turn off monitor" is not selected for any power scheme.

Lots of problems have come up with Vista and video cards, the driver for the card most likely doesn't support the OS.

Since this is onboard, you need to check with the motherboard manufacturer for Vista drivers, not ATI.

you can try to update your driver from the ati company or go to the windows site and try to find a driver for the video card

i wouldnt suggest using onboard graphics when using vista, it sounds pretty messy to me.
