Colleague has creamed his HDD and I managed to rescue the data.
Trouble is, he's got upwards of 4,000 family photos on there - and surprise surprise - no backup.
The jpegs have the usual corruption of several lines missing off the bottom - hence wont open with standard MS jpeg viewing apps.
Irfan view deals quite happily with them, but he would like them to be accesible with standard MS apps so he can send them around his family.
Anyone know of a method of either
restoring them to their former glory in bulk
OR
automating the process of opening in irfan view, performing a quick edit and saving again.
