I've had an MP3 player for about a year now--a 1 GB MachTrio. I was disappointed that no matter how I downloaded or formatted my songs, the most I could fit on the player was appr. 62. Bummer. I figured it was due to the player being an off-brand.
For Christmas I purchased my neighbor a 1 GB Creative Zen player and wound up receiving the same for myself. Again I'm running into the same problem! I would expect these players to hold between 100-200 songs. However, I've tried converting them from WMA to MP3, reducing the quality from 128 to 96 (I hate to go lower than that), and am selecting songs that are 2-3 minutes in length for the most part.
Can someone give me some pointers as to what is going on here? I've searched through the posts at this boards and could not find another topic covering this subject. Please forgive me if I've missed it somewhere else. This is truly driving me nuts!!:hmm:
