Mic on G5
I've had this iMac for around a year and a half. Just last night I found out I had a mic. Well, I'm not exactly sure where on the computer the mic is. I got my user guide and while it did say I had one, it didn't say where. The best I could find was that its under the computer. On the bottom there's 2 screws, ambaiant light and two unknown objects. Are those two objects my mic? So can someone tell me if this is infact my mic or do I need to look someplace else for it.
Then, how can I record mic clips and be able to save to be able to be sent? Machine Name: iMac G5 Machine Model: PowerMac8,2 CPU Type: PowerPC G5 (3.0) |

You should just be able to launch any recording software like Quicktime Pro or WireTap and speak. The mic should pick up the audio.
You don't necessarily need to know where the mics are specifically. You can check Apple's site for your model for the information, or the original documentation that came with the computer if you still have it.
