To stay on topic I'm looking forward to using the defrag utlity of Winoptimizer Platinum 3.
Started to post this program in the XP forum on Op's complaining of having a slow computer.

Ill look at that TY .

Id be wary of the registry part though, its a little bit cavalier IMHO. not that you need telling :) the rest of it seems good

Backup backup backup the reg before you hack! Easy-peasy, lemon squeezy.

the reason it looks like spam is first it should be in the software forum with a discription of what the software is instead of a link to some unknown software.

Most will delete this type of message if received via email and this forum has deleted similar messages in the past. IMO, though the moderators said its not, I stay think its spam based on where it is posted and content.

I stay think you're ridiculous based on it's obviously not spam, and your spelling sucks.

Agreed, Don't you think you've over-reacted just a tiddly bit there Dan, it's not like Purestlight is unknown to us and heres the cruncher - the mods are pretty damn good at spotting spam or responding to the "bad post alert" to nip spam in the can.

Personally I'd never run an "optimizer" on Windows. Registry cleaning is about all the program has to offer.
There isn't a reg-cleaner yet that is good at what it's suppose to do. Cleaning Internet cache files is not
a wonderful thing they've discovered, you can do that with Windows already.

Defragment the hard drive? Great, could never do that with Windows

You'll clean your reg till the computer won't run anymore.

It was 30 Pounds now it's free? Things that use to cost money but then are free are usually things nobody wants.

You install that puppy beware.

You want an optimized computer? Go into our Cyber Safety forum and get checked.

The defragger seems to work better than the Windows one - and quicker I think.

Thanks.

XP's defrag is based on Diskeeper.
Winoptimizer Platinum does do the job faster.
There both free for now.
I'll go with the one that's faster.

Didn't seem to be the solution for this poster.

That's not true. The marketing strategy for offering free past versions of programs in the hope the user will upgrade to the paid version after using the product is more cost effective than spending big bucks on advertising.
A little research on this will show more companies are going this route.
