Why using Cyrstal XP gets your thread closed?

I've tried Crystal XP but seen today the use of it got someone's thread closed-

Wasn't aware this program was dubious in nature-

Maybe the OP didn't explain Crystal XP correctly?

Not doing any second-guessing here. A cursory glance at the thread, I'd have done the same as Murray S. and closed it. After reading your explanation, however, I saw what CrystalXP is & re-opened the threads based on that info.

The poster originally stated they were using a NEW version of XP, not a new XP theme's.

As you are aware, there are many hacked versions of XP out there (streamlined) and I thought that was one of them.

CrystalXP looks to be a Windows visual customizer, something along the lines of WindowBlinds and Style XP. Though, you wouldn't be able to tell that by looking at their homepage (GEEZ I hate sites that tell you nothing about the product use "member-only" forums to convey information).

And yes, these all mess with system files, so are all quite capable of ruining your system.
