Hello, this is my first time here so I apologize if this is in the wrong category, but I seem to be having a bit of trouble with some of my folders and I have no idea why this is happening. @_@

Some of my folders say "Folder is Empty" when I hover my cursor over them and some say "Size: #" even though they are -all- empty. I selected "Show hidden files and folders" in my folders options and that resulted in some unseen files which I deleted. But even after I did, one folder still says that it has "45.5 KB" within it.

I feel like such an idiot because the solution is probably obvious, but right now I'm really clueless and need help. xD; Thanks if you reply.

Hi & welcome to CTH.
First, 2 questions: what version of Windows is installed, and second exactly where are these folders located (ie are they System folders? Associated with a particular program? Do they have names?)

It's possible the folders with a size listed contain system files. They are like hidden files, but don't display even when "Show hidden files" is enabled. However, right below that setting in Folder Options is a check box for "Hide protected operating system files", if you want to be able to view them. These files will add to a folder's total size, but won't be listed on the folder's tool tip or shown in Windows Explorer, if you have that option checked to hide them.

Alright, thank you. I'll try that.
