Hey all,

I am trying to use VNC to connect remotely to my sisters computer about 5 1/2 hours away from me to troubleshoot it and am not sure how VNC works but have heard its good can someone tell me how to get it to setup with the computer I am trying to troubleshoot and my computer?

Reasonably simple.
You install and run the VNC server on her machine. She connects to the internet and tells you her IP address.
You install and run the VNC client. You connect to her IP address and then control her desktop from a window on your machine.

I have only used over a LAN, not over the web but same principal applies, as long as you can connect to her IP, you can do it.
