Hello, I am curious if I can still set my taskbar to the default old school grey style but yet still retain the neat transparency and other graphical features..

my copy of vista business is on it's way (hell yea to powertogether.com!) and this question has been burning a hole in my brain since about decemeber.

Thanks in advance!

if anyone is wondering I've gotten my copy and I have found you CAN use the windows classic theme, but no nifty graphical features will come with it.

But, on the other hand, Aero is SICK.

1. Right click a blank spot on the desktop

2. Select Personalize

3. Select Window colour and appearance

4. Select the colour you wish to have, and using the slider choose how transparent you want windows to be. If you don't want your windows to be transparent, uncheck the tick box for window transparency.

5. You can also use the the colour mixer to finely choose the specific colour you would like.

I just checked mine. I have windows vista premium, and the options I had in display were windows standard (the old style) vista basic or areo. There was no option for xp. All the settings are individual now. There doesn't seem to be an option to have it look like it did when you followed sticky's settings for xp. Although I could manage to still follow some of them. Cheers. Hope this helps. v.
