Executing .exe Files

HI GUYS .....HELP NEEDED AGAIN.

How do i run .exe files on XP?

I have a registry issue and cannot run any .exe files through the "run
" command because i cannot associate a programme to open them......
Any help mucho appreciated.

The problem is i cant get into explorer or any other prog....without the same message/box coming up....
so frustrating.....
cannot even download/run fixes from the net..
Boo hoo any more suggestions m8?

tried it but it doesnt run....????.....
Do you reckon it might work if i download it direct to a dvd and t5hen run it from my d:\ drive?

Go to this page (http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm) and start downloading the fixes. Read the directions at the top first.

Then take the downloaded fixes to the computer with the problem and run them.
