Question Punkbuster in Battlefield 2142

OK,

Have been running Punkbuster fine with Battlefield 2142 but with the odd kick indicating duplicate GUID/CDkey here and there. Recently though it seems to have taken a life of it's own. For one of the soldier names under this account it says 'Global punkbuster ban GUID . ????' where ???? indicates an apparently ramdom string of alphanumeric characters. This happens shortly after joining any server usually after the 'authenticating client data' screen. Another soldier (my name) I get a grey window open which just says 'Punkbuster' with no message (or non that I've noticed). Another soldier, the first one created, doesn't appear to have a problem??

Any idea whats happening?

Contact EA with your problem. There's not really much you can do about it. Probably, somebody's using your CD key, and it's now been banned.

Can't see it being a CDKey problem really as the account works for one soldiier created. Two others though don't work. I would have thought all of them would be effected wouldn't you?

sounds odd, and you're right it would be a global ban, had you been banned, contact EA on it.

on my windows login I tried the soldier which apparently works but that didn't so it looks like a global ban ... unless it's got to do with the different windows login??

I'll see what happens on my other sons login and take it from there ... for some reason he has it password protected :-)

I'm having similiar problems save that i cannot get in at all. I would join any server and be ingame for 5-10 secs, then kicked by punkbuster. Tried upgrades, patches ect.... Now pissing me off. Convienently run into this problem a week after warranty expires...super...

did not work for you then?

I'm in the process of contacting EA games. (if I get any joy I'll let you know)

I'll be damned if I'm going to run the fix everytime I want to play it.
