see this (http://news.com.com/Microsoft+already+planning+Vista+service+pack/2100-1016_3-6152704.html)

Windows Vista is not even fully out the door, but Redmond is already laying the groundwork for its first service pack release of bug fixes and other enhancements for the operating system.

its started. I wonder if vista will become another winme.

I don't understand why some people consider this to be a bad thing, or some weird admission that Vista in it's current state isn't good.

It's progress. I'd only be concerned if they hadn't already started work on it.

What will be in the Vista SP1 that'll be different than the released version?

read the article in the original link and it will give some possible content. But as with other sp releases, it will include most hotfixes to date, some new features and other bugs.

I dont know why everyone on the net is like "OMG a SP due by the end of the year already." If you stop and think about it, it was 11 months AFTER the release of XP that SP1 came out. So SP1 for Vista is around the same time frame.

I do not see anywhere in this thread that anyone said "omg" The thread was started for informational purposes only. So theres no reason for you to get upset over it.

Im not saying in this thread and I wasnt getting upset over it.

To me, there just seems to be so much hype over Vista that no one really knows what to believe about it anymore. There is so much crap about Vista floating around its really hard to believe what is true and what is false without actually installing it and finding out for yourself.
