I've been using various AV & AS programs for the last couple of years. Some had a firewall and real time monitoring while others were executable only. I've used Norton Systemworks & McAfee Security Suite, but it seems they take a lot of ram. I've also used AVAST AV/firewall for awhile and am currently using AVG free version of AV only. Prior to yesterday I had been using McAfee and Spysweeper before I decided to uninstall both to experiment with other programs. This website is the best of its kind out there, so I decided it would be the best place to ask for opinions about AV/AS configurations. I do not currenlty have an active AS program and need to know what other CTH'ers think about the best approach for combining AV/AS. Note that I have 1GB of ram, but my system usually slows after installing some of the bigger programs. Please respond with your opinions if you have time. ty
