I've been using the free version of Coffeecup FTP without any problem for a couple of years.
Now, for some unknown reason it fails to connect to my PWP with Blueyonder.co.uk.
As far as I am aware, nothing in the set up has been changed.
A phone call to Telewest was a complete waste of time.
All they could tell me was that everthing is OK at their end.
I have two web sites to maintain, so access is constantly reqiured.
Perhaps some helpful advice on setting up a new account might solve the problem.

When in trouble - always turn to CTH.
Thanks in advance.

Can you access the FTP via Internet Explorer or any other software? Phoning ISP's is always a waste of time. I use FTP Surfer, its okay. Try using an other program or deleting you account settings in the software and adding them in again. Make sure all you passwords are correct :)

I've taken a D/L of FTP Surfer and it works perfectly.
Still no connection with Coffeecup FTP though.

My thanks to the "dudeking" for pointing me in the right direction.

Cheers m8 - I owe you one. I'm back in business now thanks to you.

NP glad to be of assistance :)
Not sure what's wrong with coffieecup, to be honest I haven't heard of it before. Is your firewall blocking it at all?

The original D/L came from here http://www.coffeecup.com/free-ftp/

The firewall was one of the first things I checked - it seemed OK
but I gave the program full access and it still didn't connect.

It's basically the same setup for Surfer FTP and I'm using it already.

Cheers.

Okay, not sure why it's not working.
Glad you have access to you FTP now.

All the best, Eddie
