I just bought a 24' Dell FP Monitor, and I noticed that when I play DVDs on it through my computer and Ulead DVD player, It's not nearly as clear as it should be, even my tube TV's send better resolution. The monitor has component and composite plug-ins, along with S-Video. Does anyone have a good solution to get the best picture on a monitor?

For plasma and especially LCD monitors, you should use the monitor's native resolution as your desktop resolution, and for as many applications as possible that will allow you to set it to that resolution. The native resolution varies depender on the model of monitor.
You should also use a DVI connection if possible, VGA or Component video are the next best things, in that order. Anything less (SCART, S-Video or Composite) and you're going to get a poor quality picture regardless of your desktop resolution.
