Missing MSIMG32.dll !!

When I start my computer a box pops up and states that I am missing MSIMG32.dll and I can not use MSN messenger. I tried downloading and unzip this file, however it is just sitting on my desktop and appears to be doing nothing.

PLEASE HELP ME FIX THIS!

Maybe msnmsgr.exe is corrupted.

Please try to go to Start then Run, Then type in cmd
If you are in the console, Then type the follow: sfc /scannow

If that did not help, Download the file from
http://www.driverskit.net/dlldisc/get2221.html
then place it in:

/Windows/System
/Windows/System32

And remove MSN Messenger and download it from microsoft download center.

Exclamation thanks but...

I took all your advice, downloaded and deleted and re-downloaded everything. I made sure to extract the file to both System and System32 but still I get the same message!

One of the library files needed to run this application is damaged.

MSIMG32.DLL

Also, when I downloaded and tried to run Ableton Demo, I received this message:

C:\Program Files\Ableton\Live 6.0.3\Program\Live 6.0.3.exe

A device attached to the system is not functioning.

The LIVE 6.0.3.EXE file is linking to missing export GDI32.DL.Set DCBrush Color

HELP PLEASE! This wasn't happening Monday!

Maybe an windows file is corrupt. go to the Run box on the Start Menu and type in:

sfc /scannow

This command will immediately initiate the Windows File Protection service to scan all protected files and verify their integrity, replacing any files with which it finds a problem.

The following should appear to give an indication of how long the process is taking.

Tell me what the results are.

The command line parameters are not valid. The following parameters were not recognized: "scannow"

Suggest any other programs?

What is the windows version you have?

If you got 98/ME you can run this: http://www.microsoft.com/Windows98/u...sfilecheck.asp
