Odd World of Warcraft Problem

Hey all, hope you can help-

I downloaded World of Warcraft on Sunday from an online distributor (LEGALLY!), spent all day patching it and getting it set up, and it worked fine. Logged on, played for a bit, and then my laptop froze - pretty sure it just over heated.

Anyway, I call it a night after that, and don't try to play until monday, and when I start up the game, and try to login, it doesn't log in, and stays on 'connecting' until it times out. I thought there was just server issues at the time, so tried again Tuesday. Same issue. Anybody know what's going on?

Here's my network-
1 laptop using a wireless card
1 router
Firewall: router firewall and windows xp firewall are usable.

I've done all the port forwarding I need to do, and set up a static IP (static IP i set up on Tuesday, I was using a randomly assigned one on sunday when I was able to play).

Any idea what could be going wrong?

Solved

Hey guys-

was doing some googling on this issue, the root cause of the problem was:

... wait for it.

Peer Guardian! Right click, disabled it, and I'm able to connect.

Ok, off to waste away my life on the game.
