I have a macbook pro (a new version) I have an lcd monitor which i would like to use for extra window space. I have the right cables, however there is one thing im not sure about.

I have a pc aswell, basicaly i am using my macbook pro for audio work and my pc for the internet and other things, obvioulsy i use the lcd monitor with my pc. how could i switch between mac and pc if im using the same monitor?

i have the DVI - VGA adapter, a VGA cable and a VGA adapter split into 2 (on one end it has a male and the other 2 female)

thanks

Unless your Macbook has 2 VGA outputs or has one VGA and one DVI, you cant have a 2 monitor setup. If it does, to do what your asking, you will need a switch box with the second VGA or DVI connection from both your laptop and pc going into it as inputs and the second monitor as the output. All of your monitor settings will have to match to easily switch bach and forth.
