Gaming mouse and keyboard

So for mouse I am thinking Razer Copperhead with Razer Mantis Pad.
Any recommendations on keyboard, and why? I used to game on old keyboard from 486 days. I tried new ones and I found keys to be mushy, and not very responsive.

Saitek.
I like the controllers because you can configure them to keyboard
keys if the game doesn't support joysticks.
Keyboards have game layouts.

If you've got money and time, you can wait around for the Optimus, or the slightly more realistic Optimus-103 (only USD$1200!).

If you're after more than a concept, or aren't rich, I'm quite partial to any of the good Logitech models, but I've not really used anything else seriously, apart from laptops. High-end and expensive they're not, but good, solid boards with decent wireless performance even for gaming, they are (though you won't need the wireless).
