Ok so I got Microsoft Outlook 2000 and I want to make an autoreply. So I tried that by making my message, saving it as a name other than the subject name and saved it in the templates folder in applicatoins data, under owner then under documents and settings. I tried to import the new rule as autoreplay because MS Outlook 2000 didn't already have it but I couldn't get the file to show up unless I selected All files. But it has to be "Rules Wizard Rule" by the file type field for the right document and format to show up but it wouldn't. I even tried to type in the name of the file in the "file name" field and clicked "open" but nothing would happen except it takes me back to where I choose export or import rule. I'm stuck on this.

Try this Liz81;

1. Make sure you are in your main (inbox) window, not within a message.
2. Click the Tools drop down menu, and Out of Office Assistant.
3. Click the button I am currently Out of the Office.
4. Click in the Autoreply text box, to compose your message you want to send to those emailing you whilst you are away. (It should be something which will make them suitably jealous of you being on holiday whilst they are still working, whilst assuring them of your attention when you return.) Notice it will only be sent once to each respondent, i.e. if I send you two emails whilst you are away I will only receive your auto reply to my first message.
5. Go on holiday
6. On your return relaxed and well, as you log on the computer will alert you to the fact that Out of Office is active, and invite you to switch it off. Ah well, back to work…

EDIT: I might be confused with Exchangeserver but try it anyway Liz, if the function does not exist then please let me know.
