Unhappy Color is Gone

My monitor has lost almost all of the color in any application. On Display properties, I can select a different color set, but it won't stay. I checked for new drivers for the monitor and the video card, and it said the best driver was installed. Tried starting in Safe mode, and got the message that a driver was not installed (don't know which one) and the Windows was quitting. Now Windows barely works, very very slow. Any suggestions?

Shut your pc down, unplug the power cord, hold your on/off button in 30 seconds remove side panels onyour case (reture to your manuel) find the card your monotor is pluged into, unplug your monotor, look and you will see 1 screw holding that card to your case touch,a bare spot onyour case with your finger use a non magnetic screw driver take the screw out ,touch a bare spot on your case again pull the card out of the socket, clern the gold contacts with alchol, then reverse the process to put it back in, also while you got your case open give it a good cleaning,if your monotor cord is not attached to a removable card you have onboard video, will then have to look futher, also leave your panels off your case when you boot up so you can check if all your fans are running, this may not fix your problem, but it is a first step in isolating your problem
