I think my roommate cranked up the new machine I've built and used it or tried to use it before I had it completely ready, and now I can't get Windows to load. The message msgsrv32 pops up before I even get to enter a password, although the password screen pops up just after it. When I cancel the error message and try to log on I just get a green screen with no icons or anything. Please give any advice before I reformat and start from scratch.

There are a few virus's out there that can cause this. I'm not sure how far along you were in the buils process or if it even had Internet access, but if it did, then I would consider running a though scan.
