my wireless just keeps cutting out. Before it was all open and anyone can access but once i put it on WPA Pre-Shared Key it starts cutting out for some reason. What could it be??? Now i changed it back to open and its still doing the same thing of cutting out. Anything i can do?

ok no its not my router. cos i tried a different laptop with wireless and it works. Also i dont know why but u know the wireless icon in the task bar. when u connect it starts blinking and is blue. but mine is like its not connected( red cross) but yet i can still surf for a while and then it cuts out?
wats wrong?

Driver issue maybe.....check the device manager for the status of your wireless adapter.

its all okay there. Just dont understand what is happening. Any other things i can try?

First of all, I wouldn't be troubleshooting using the wireless connection. Start by hardwiring into the router, monitor for a while, if all is ok there, you know its not a firmware issue etc., with the router. If you get that far, start by running AV and anti spyware scans, if all is clean. Disable all firewalls, and AV, and go from there.

well i know its not the router cos another laptop works fine. so its mine. dont have a firewall on. ill try the scan now

ok i think i have fixed it. i just completly uninstalled the driver and then reinstalled
