Hi Reckless - welcome to CTH. Try restoring your Winsock registry keys:
FIRST back up your registry: Go to Start > Run, type Scanregw, followed by 'enter'. Choose 'yes', when you are asked to back up your registry.
Open Control Panel. Go to Add/Remove Programs > Windows Setup tab. Take the check mark out of Communication, and click 'Apply'. When asked to reboot, say no.
Go to Start/Run, and type:
regedit
then OK. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\WinSock2. Right click on 'Winsock2', and select 'delete'.
Go back to the Add and Remove Programs/Windows setup tab, put the check mark back in 'Communication', and click OK again. You'll need your Windows CD-ROM.
Let us know how you get on.

Hi Reckless, Welcome to CTH!
Click Start > Shutdown > Restart in MS-DOS mode > OK
At the C:\Windows> prompt type scanreg /restore and hit [enter]
Choose the day before you ran the registry cleaner from the list and hit [enter].
Type exit and hit [enter] to return to windows.
Edit Sorry Annie!

Hi Reckless,
If what AnnMarie, and tb525 suggested don't work.
What d/led program did you use to do this with? Does it save a backup to restore just in case something like this occurs? Some do.
If it was jv16 Power Tools you may be in luck.

Is your D: drive a cd burner? You may have to reinstall any software for it to get it to work and be detected, I think.
This will be common considering you removed so much with that program you downloaded. This is not saying the program is at fault, but since you unistalled & removed so much, then did a Scanreg /restore you will most likely need to reinstall the programs you removed, because even though you restored the registry, the programs are no longer there. Restoring the registry just restores the registry. It will not reinstall the programs that where remove.

yes my d Drive is a cd rom burner..but the thing is the only software i have for it is Nero..which i didnt uninstall or touch..
im not sure what i removed but it wasnt any CD rom burning related software..only software i wasnt using anymore which i couldnt clear as well as some spyware which starts with my comp which is the only reason i used the program in the first place..
BTW - im having errors in my device manager..my PCI System management bus and PCI multimedia audio device seem to have driver problems..im sure its the missing vxd..

Try running Spybot-S&D. I've got a feeling that CDAINT2F.VXD may be part of C-Dilla.
Download Spybot - Search & Destroy
http://beam.to/spybotsd
After installing, go to the Online tab, and search for and install all updates.
Next, go to the Settings tab > File Sets, and uncheck System Internals, Usage Tracking and Tracks.uti. These settings are not needed at the moment and you can always consult the "Help" files if you want to experiment later on.
Finally, after closing down Internet Explorer, hit 'Check for Problems', and have SpyBot remove all it finds. (If the scan has found something, the list will show it.)
There are three basic kinds of results:
Red entries indicate spyware problems that should be fixed to avoid security and/or privacy problems. This is the only kind of problem that is preselected to be fixed.
Black entries are system internals. If you do not know what they mean, I would suggest that you leave these alone and visit the support forum for more information.
Green entries indicate usage tracks. It can do no harm to remove these.
NOTE: SSD will sometimes not be able to remove all active components in the first 'run'. In that case you will get a dialog asking you to run SSD at next start. Click yes and reboot.
SSD will activate before the system puts these components 'in use', and it will then be able to 'fix' the rest.
