I was thinking about upgrading to Vista from XP Pro, but i've talked to a few people and they said that my FPS will go down significantly with Vista. So i was wondering how higher end games would play on Vista, wrather then XP. Will i still be able to run XP games that need high system requirements?
Heres the system specs:
Pentium 4 (With HT) 3GHz
1GB RAM
ATI RADEON XPRESS 1100 graphics card (128MB dedicated, up to 319MB shared)

vista just needs good drivers to finally be released, then it'll be good.

Myself and my colleague have both agreed that we are not getting Vista until atleast SP1 is launched for it, not great compatibility and like any OS that has just come out, got some ironing out of bugs to do!

After I installed Vista I installed Half-life 2 and World of Warcraft. After updating all my drivers I tested each game.
Half-life 2 ran amazing smooth. In fact I think it runs smoother on Vista than XP on my machine.
Warcraft on the other hand was horrible. FPS dropped so bad in some points it became unplayable.
Currently I'm planning on dual booting XP and Vista. Ill use XP to pretty much to play the few games that are having issues with Vista.
