Best GPU for around 200$?

I play games like battlefield 2, 2142, F.E.A.R., and would like them to run smoother. I currently have 1 GB or ram, athlon 64 3500+ cpu, and radeon 9600 series graphics card. Would it be better if I upgraded my entire machine or only replace the graphics card?

I'd say your graphics card, although upgrading ram and the processor can never hurt your performance.

Might be able to get a 7800GS, or if not that, a 7600GT in AGP which will play those games at a higher detail but maybe not as smooth as if you moved to a core 2 duo / DDR2 ram / PCI-E graphics.

if you are going to get an agp card, I highly recommend the BFG 7800 gs oc. $159 after rebate on tiger direct... or was it newegg, not sure, anyway, the card I had before was a 9600, and lol, there is a HUGE difference.
