orange spv

hi all first post.

i just got an orange spv but am having some trouble working out how to use it as a modem using gprs.

i got it connected using usb.

it comes with software called active sync which synchronises the contacts e.t.c. on your pc and the spv. i can work that but i cant get the browser to use it as the modem. any suggestions will be most welcome.

Hi Scerbera and welcome to CTH :)

I'm not up on gprs, but I'd assume that the synchronising would need different software at the PC end to the internet gateway stuff. Is there anything else on CD supplied? (I'm guessing that a CD was supplied with it)

hi, thanks for the interest.

yes there was some software supplied but only for synchronising the data.

the manuals skip all the info needed to set it up and just conveniently say "now you have set up..." but dont tell you how to do it which is nice!
