Howdy:

Are you using a wireless router to connect from your modem to you wireless in the laptop?

I have a wireless router on my home computer..
and this is a hotspot for wireless connetions usually anyways so it would pick up at least one

Have you gone into device manager to see that all drivers installed correctly?

Do you have your router manual? It would tell you in there.

Or, just shut it off and turn it back on.

Does your other system connect via wireless?

If you reset the router, it is going to clear all the programmed settings out of it, and back to the factory defaults. Be sure that this is what you really want to do.

Did you install SP2 after "downloading" XP onto your laptop? SP2 came with a few fixes and wireless add-on's that seem to help many with wireless issues. Are you using 3rd party software to try and find wireless networks or Windows built in Wireless?
