I am running an AMD 1.2gig system with 128 meg SDRam and Windows ME installed.

I am running Quickbooks for my business and recently upgraded to ver 2002. Since then I have been unable to open the program. I have been in contact with Quicken on several occassions but am getting nowhere.

Following is a copy of the most recent event with Quicken:

"To resolve your problem, you need to uninstall Quickbooks 2002, reinstall a previous version of Quickbooks eg v7.4 or v8, make sure it is registered(Under the Help menu - About Quickbooks) than install Quickbooks 2002.

Hi Khen
I reinstalled Q 2002 and renamed program folder.

When I click on desktop icon I still receive Error Starting Program message [ The MSACM32.DLLFile is linked to missing export NTDLL.DLL:NtClose ] , under this message is [ C:\Program File\ Quickbooks2002\9bw32.exe A device attached to the system is not functioning ]"

I have reinstalled an older version Quickbooks ver. 7.4 and still receive the same messages.

I have removed large tufts of hair folicals from my scalp and STILL the same mesages.

All Quicken help line have said is REINSTAL.

Any ideas please

Chris

Hi chrisrob - its possible that the installation of Quickbooks 2002 somehow corrupted ntdll.dll. You could try replacing this file from your installation CD. I think that ntdll.dll is a protected file. If so, the procedure on how to do this is here (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;265371).

Bear in mind that I'm only guessing so if you decide to try this, create a Restore Point first. The other thing that you could try first perhaps, is a System Restore to a date prior to the installation of Quickbooks 2002.

Thanks,

I will give it a try.

Other than Quickbooks the system works very well.
