How do i change IP address

How do i change my IP address? I keep gettin pop up messages in the grey boxes and i have to hit ok. I heard that its because my ip address got out.

Changing your IP depends on what type of internet connection you have. Dial-up connections will have a different IP everytime you dial in, "always on" connections, broadband, will have a permanent IP address and you will need to speak to your service provider to see about changing it. Where are you experiencing these messages? On your computer, when you're on/off line, browsing certain sites, instant messaging or whatever? It's possible these are just standard internet pop-up windows or java script Prompts, in which case changing your IP will not make them go away.

Are the popup messages from the Messenger Service, as outlined in this article ? If so, follow the instructions on the site to disable Messenger Service.

Definately sounds like that.

"Your IP Address is being broadcast....." kind of thing.
