I am with talktalk and have been having trouble receiving emails even though I am using the recommended settings of; Incoming mail...mail.talktalk.net and outgoing mail as ...smtp.talktalk.net,when I say having trouble I mean I can't receive them at all.I can use my old email address with onetel which I had before going to talktalk and I can access that address through talktalk but can't use the talktalk addresses that are available at all.Confusingly talktalk took over onetel and now they both trade independently under the name of talktalk, crazy I know as they are both independent and in competition with each other but have no contact with each other.
The technical support line says I have done all that I should do so it should work ...famous last words

Is this all in Outlook Express or in a browser with online email?

OK good to go then.

Doesn't matter how many times you look at the settings and *see* they are all correct.
You even re-type in passwords [and such] but the account still won't work.

It's the account itself that gets corrupted so it's not your eyes and sanity which is at fault.
The same thing happens with Windows XP account names sometimes. Delete it and everthing is peachy.
