login failure

My son is away at college. When he tries to log in to a site that he uses there are two gray areas, one for login name and one for password, just like here. However, when he completes the info and clicks enter the browser goes back to the same screen with the info blank. I can log on at home with no problem. Suggestions I can pass on?

What kind of connection is he on? Is it via the college or a dial-up to an ISP he is a customer of?

Is this a secure site (address changes to https:// when you log in)

login problems

He is using the college server. It is a public site for ice skating fans.
BTW I am on an old computer that apparently remembered my old id etc.

OK one suggestion for him would be to clear his temporary internet files, in Internet Explorer go to Tools > Internet Options and there's a button to do this.
