Hi
I am about to take a step into the 21st century and go wireless
I have heard that the best phone socket to use is the master.
Can i use a phone extension cable to another socket.
What is the longest lenght of ethernet cable i can use and how do i tell what cable it is ie cat -5 , cat 5e , cat 6 etc
thanks

If you are going wireless, why are you talking about using cables? Ethernet cables will not plug into a phone socket. I'm not really sure what it is you are trying to accomplish?

Are you on dial up? If not, you'll have to connect the phone line to a modem, then connect the modem to the router using an ethernet cable.
