In need of help- Not too computer savvy...

I'm currently having trouble sharing a printer for my desktop and laptop, I've read that it is possibly to wirelessly print from one computer, and it will transmit the data to the printer, and print without connecting the computer to the printer. My hp 1200 series printer is connected to my desktop which I've had for a few years now. I just bought a hp dv6000t laptop with intel centrino duo, and built-in wireless access.

I set up a wireless network, and transferred the data using a USB flashdrive like it said was needed. It set the laptop was added to the wireless network. When I come back to my laptop, which I am on now, and try to add the printer i don't understand what I need to do. I go to control panel>printers and faxes>add a printer and I don't really know what to do next. I have a network name, the hp 1200 series printer is hooked up to the desktop, I don't see why I shouldn't be able to print from the laptop on the printer. Am I capable? What steps do I need to take to share the printer on my network. (I already have the printer setup and the network set up)

Is my printer capable?
Please help!

Thanks,
Alex

Easier way is to go to network places, double click the computer
connected to the printer and find the printer and double click it.
It will automatically bring up the wizard.
Follow the instructions.
