My kids play a couple of games over the internet, Ghost recon and C&C renagade. Both of these games are crashing after about 1/2 hour to 1 hour of play. They used to work great and now they seem to be having problems.

The computer is a 350 Mhz machine with 350 MB memory and a 6 GB hard drive. Its running Win98. We have a cable connection with a Netgear router and net gear cards.

Any ideas where I could start looking to figure out the problems. We have removed and reinstalled both games.

Any help would be appeciated

Thanks

Ken

Has the computer been cleaned out inside lately. Dust, dog/cat hair, dropped crumbs, hair balls etc can really dirty the inside of the computer case up.

This can and does cause heat problems. Open the case up, clean er out, then leave the case off and run it for awhile, don't let the kids touch anything inside while it is running.

Make sure the little fan on top of the processor is runningOK. If she runs good, then that may of been the problem. Some of thos games are pretty graphic intensive and really make the processor work. Heat is an enemy....
