View Full Version : AD Users can't print

Certain Active Directory (WinServer 2003) users cannot print from any workstations to any network printers, even though other accounts can print from the same workstations, no problem.

It has something to do with the roaming profile. I've seen a corrupt roaming profile screw up GroupWise, and rebuilding the profile fixed it.

I didn't rebuild the profile in this example, but I followed the directions of the person who did it, and it did not solve the printing problem.

There are no error messages, nothing in the print spooler. These users could print before, but all of a sudden they can't.

I've deleted the profile on the local machine as well as on the domain controller, and allowed it to recreate itself, to no avail. I've deleted the printer on the workstation and added it by browsing to the Domain Controller and selecting it, to no avail.

I can't seem to find help, my google-fu is week. Any ideas?

We have that problem, check that all the machines have a location in AD, then the printers should appear, we use a really good piece of software called Daryl Baker that starts whenever some one logs on and its install all th machines in their vicinity and that they have the rights to access

sales@DarylBaker.co.uk

Its well worth looking into

good luck
