Soldier Front help...

Ok, so I am trying to play a game called Soldier Front but the game will crash/freeze randomly during gameplay. Although the game has froze, I can still hear the sound effects. If I try to alt-tab, I will only be able to see my cursor above the frozen screen and not be able to close at all (except on RARE occasions in alt-tab will work successfully).

After this, I will usually have to restart my computer manually.

I currently have an AMD Athlon 3800+ 2gHz Dual-Core processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM and an ATI Radeon X800 video card.

I have tried changing the resolution of my screen (desktop and within game), reinstalling and my drivers are updated.

Please help.

Good luck - it's a BETA, and developer support seems very thin.

Thanks for posting back. What did you do in the end?
According to the SF site, your problem is normally solved by the desktop resolution setting change you said you had already tried.

The first time I tried to lower graphics settings, it didn't change or something. Change it to low and now it works fine.

EDIT: Nevermind, still crashing, just less often T_T

Is it possible that my card is overheating?

Frankly that indicates to me that it's a problem with the BETA and you should be reporting it to the developer for them to fix in the next beta version. That's what BETA software is for.

Yeah, I've reported it. I just find it strange that my computer (only 4 months old) can't handle a "low-end" game.

Hes saying its the game thats causing it, not your computer. A BETA version is an un-stable version that they are trying to make more stable and get all of the other bugs out.
