Warcraft 3 FPS Lag

i have nearly every video setting down to low, on Warcraft 3 but i sometimes, get horribly FPS during some games, to as low as 1 yes 1!! i usually get 30-50frames a second on my Geforce4 420 GO laptop video card...

but for some very awkward reason, if i turn off the sound settings (ambient sounds, unit sounds etc.....) the game stops lagging for about 5-30minutes, then it starts again....

im not going to be able to change the video card in a laptop since its inbuilt...

and since its laptop, i cant find any dam updates for the card either, which would probley help....

i kinda realised the video card is not very impressive, but my dad refuses to move my computer i built to out to the internet connection, because of the 'CRT' Moniter, i use, which i keep saying is good for rendering high speed games, and such, but he likes LCD because of the thiness...

ok i have everything off, and everything to low, and still i get random lag here and there....
