hi there
I have been having some problems, in our house we have 3 computers connected to the internet, we have a wireless/wired router called "D-Link DSL-G604T" in my room I have one computer connected directly to the router and the other connected through the first computer, they both run win xp, and in the other room where the router is, is my mum's new computer which is a dell dimension C521, which runs windows vista basic. Before my mum got the new computer the internet didn't work on her computer. On my computers in my room I don't have problems connecting to the internet but it can be slow sometimes. With my mum's new computer initially when setting it up, i couldn't get it to connect to the internet, I found out the firmware on the router was old and I upgraded it, this seem to cure the internet connectivity problem on my mum's machine, but after a couple of days we were back to square one. Now she can't connect to the internet at all, though when you look on her computer the internet conection status says it is recieving data and when you try and access the router this is possible but it can't seem to make outside internet connection. I am lost on where to go, so if anybody can help that be great?? if you need more information just ask!
