What should I use to connct my PS2 to my PC?

Hi,

Does anybody have any reccomendations on what I should use to connect the PS2 to my PC?

I've seen TV cards and external tv boxes etc but wouldnt know where to begin.

My mate has an external TV box which he once used for his PS but the picture was a bit blurred when the PS was being used.

Dont want to fork out loads of money for it, just want something so I can connect it to my monitor without to much messing around and get a clear picture.

The graphics card I have at the mo is a geforce 6600 256mb and the monitor is a widescreen 19" flatpanel.

Many thanks for ANY help or advice

Trevor

If you want to run it through your PC, you could get a TV tuner card and attach the PS2 to the AV in (some have AV in). Then you can watch the PS2 on your monitor, as well as use your PC. And also record it.

its easier then that just get a VGA box. it will let you switch between your computer monitoring and the game console with the switch of a button on top of the box and the picture will be as clean as on your tv. wont connect it directly to your pc, but you can tell your friends it does .

somthing like this

Don't get a TV card. Almost all of them will lag. You'll get a 1-2sec lag while playin through your pc. It's best to just still with the tv.

your on the right track, and i have to say i do not know that much about the technology, just that some of my dormmates had them in hs (boarding school where we wernt alowed to have TV's) and they work like a charm. Gata make sure they support the console your using tho, i dunno y. that one looks like it will only support wii and some 360 tho...

Ah I see. I came across this one and it says it supports PS2 xBox wii etc so think might be a better option. plus its cheaper too lol only snag is that its not available on their UK site, only from china so not sure what shipping costs would be. Do you think the picture would be clear or blured seeing as though its gonna be using a lower res? Im not very knowledgable when it comes to that sort of thing.

it looks like it will be ok. i dunno about blurry, i dont see the resolution specs, but it shouldent make that much of a difference unless its way down by 600x480 or somthin. the VGA box itself should not cause the game to be blurry, at least the ones i have seen/used have not been. however be vigilant when buying cheap hardware from cketchy stores.

always check here b4 making a decition to buy over the internet
