Everytime I start up my computer I get this message "Network cable is unplugged" When this happens I have no internet access. Then I would disable the local area network then enable it again and sometimes it will acquire an address but it usualy takes alot of disabling and enabling to finally get it to acquire an address. I've searched the internet and I found others have had this problem but the only solution that fixes it is changing the media type to 10MBPS full duplex. I had on auto-sense before. But my internet was fine before this happened and it has always been on auto-sense. I didn't change any setting that could of made this happen, it just randomly started happening one day. I'd rather have auto-sense to work cause then I have 100MBPS instead of 10MBPS and I can tell the difference in download speed. So is there anyway I can fix this? And why would this randomly happen all of a sudden?
I have windows xp
Cable internet(wired)
I have a router
And while I don't have internet access, the wireless computer does have access.
