In my router for connection type i have put Static IP but now the wireless when i try on another laptop doesnt work. internet only works when i connect via cable. Is there anything i need to change???

Do you have the laptops wireless card networt settings set with a valid ip.

How did you get the static IP address for the router? On my Bell South system they gave me a static IP address but said it was set on "their" server not my router. you may have to open a particular port to run everything
