I am unable to open a specific file that was sent as setup.exe, I know that it is a valid program. I am not running a firewall or internet security; the OS is Win XP Pro.
How can I open/locate the program?

This feature is a good security feature, and should only be disabled temporarily. In future, or even now, simply tell the sender to zip the file when sending, due to security precautions.
OL2000: Cannot Access Attachments (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q318515) explains some of this, and also allows you to download a patch and then do a registry "fix" to turn this feature off, however, I will recommend, again, against turning it off permanently.
