Hi

I'm looking into connecting two pc's via a wireless router. Do I still need to have anti virus and firewall software on both pc's or does a wireless router have a built in anti virus/firewall?? Can you also recommend a good brand on wireless router to go for? Any advice is much appreciated.

you will still need a good antivirus and spyware for protection on both computers. Personally I like the linksys products.

I have seen more problems posted about dlink than linksys. However, alot of people like them so its really your choice.. All you need is a wireless router, and make sure your computers have wireless cards or adaptors.

also consider implementing some sort of encryption to your wifi network apart from firewalls. i use WEP key to password protect my wireless network.
