My problems is as follows, my laptop is Satellite Toshiba 1905 S301 series. I believe some how my laptop is causing my wireless card to stop working. Why? This is the story. Once i got my laptop, i decided to buy a wireless card so i could connect to wireless networks. At the begining the card works perfectly fine. However after a month or two, whenever i plug in the wireless card in to the laptop PCI port, It doesn't detect the card. Then i try to re-install software but the result is the same because the computer doesnt detect the card. However, my laptop has two pci port connections so when i plug the card into the second Pci port, the card starts working. So i keep using the card connecting it into the second PCI port. after a while however, the second PCI port stops detecting the wireless card just like the first Pci port. After the second PCI port stopped working I took my computer and the wireless card to a shop to fix the problem. The guys in the computer shop told me that the card was not working so i had to to buy a new one. I bought a new card, and it started to work fine just like the firts wireless card i bought. However it has happened again, my first pci port has stopped detecting new wireless card so Im connecting the new wireless card to the second Pci port. My fear is that in a few weeks the second PCI port will stop detecting the wireless card again and i will have to buy another wirelesscard.
