Hi kuchenka - we might be able to help if you can give us a few more details. When you say its there, where is it? Can you please post the path that you downloaded it to. Also what is the name of the software that you are trying to install and where did you download it from. It may also help to know what OS you have.

the os is windows xp, the software is paintshop pro(kazaa)and various desktop publishing items from freeware on the net. when i try to open the files i end up extracting them to a folder, i'ts when i'm trying to get them to run i 'm having problems.
there are icons for them on my desktop that look like books bound with string, i open the programme and end up looking at a folder with the items description i try to open again but nothing happens, hope this is enough info. thanks

Hi kuchenka - you may not be aware of this but Paintshop Pro is not freeware. Any version that you find on KaZaA will be warez.

CTH has very strict policy regarding warez. We do not help with problems associated with the use of illegally obtained software.

You can purchase Paintshop Pro here. Jasc also offer a free trial download.

Can you give us more information on the freeware Desktop publishing programs you are trying to install. The name of the program would help and a link to where you are downloading from.
