Question latency

i am playing counter strike 1.5 over the internet using hamachi and connecting to a local lan server. Now everynow and then my latency rises to like 2000 for 10 seconds and i cant move but see everything else happening.
Is there any way to lower this? or i cant?
Thanks

Latency has nothing to do with the graphics. If you are playing on a slow server, or one that is far away, or you have a slow internet connection your latency (which is the "server response time") will be higher.

You can try simple things like increasing your rate ('rate 10000' is default, Try putting it up)

Open up the console (press the ~ key), and type 'rate X'

X being the number. 10000 is default, Try raising it to the max 25000, and then lowering it from there if you are getting too much choke.

It's because you're using Hamachi. CS is expecting LAN speeds and latency, but is getting internet speeds. You'll find that while some games have an option/command to specify the expected bandwidth to counter this, many won't

Id Does Not Matter. - It is to do with the network speed / Game rate settings.

Software rendering will make your graphics look real crap.

Have you tried changing your rate ?

Hamachi isn't the problem.
