Smile Dll Issue

Appreciate some assistance.

Trying to help someone running W98SE, and that every time the IncrediMail program is closed, a prompt appears with: "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor." However, the program has no tech support except for some FAQs, which do not address this type of issue.

The Detail on the error message is the following:

INCREDIMAIL caused an invalid page fault in
module INCREDINOTIFY.DLL at 01bf:028bb34d.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program from CP>Add/Remove Programs several times, and it is like doing nothing. The error continues.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the link.

However, could not find anything addressing Incredinotify.dll there.

Got rid of the issue by uninstalling IncrediMail, deleting all its entries from the Registry and from Windows, and installing IncrediMail anew. So far, so good. No problems.
