Hi everyone! This is my first post. I found out about this site last week. After reading some posts I decided to download spybot. It has been good so far (I think).
Anyways, today is the first time that I have tried to use 3dmax4.0 since I downloaded spybot (I don't know if that's relevant). It is not opening and this is the message I get:

"A license error has occured. Please restart your system to initialize the license management system. If this problem continues, contact your system administrator or authorized dealer."
[Error 7.1.29]

Then immediately after that, I got this:

"The software license failed to initialize."
[Error 7]

I didn't do anything because I have no idea what to do. I have been using this program for a year and have never had this happen. I'm on a time constraint because I use this program for school. I'm going to talk to someone in the computer lab at school tomorrow, but I think you will be more helpful. If anyone is familiar with 3dmax or knows of this error message, I would appreciate any help. Thank you in advance!

P.S. I'm not very tech savvy, so please bear with me.

I found this tech document in the Discreet K-Base, Solving the 7.1.29 C-Dilla License Error (http://www.discreet.com/support/max/faq/answer.php3?prod=dddstudio&id=480) .

Hope this helps.

Hi avoona - welcome to CTH. It looks like Crash has found the answer. Restoring your backups in Spybot may also fix the problem. Then when you next run Spybot, configure it to ignore C-Dilla.
