I installed my copy of Office 2003 on 3 computers. I didn't realize that I was apparently restricted to only 2 installs (one of them is just a backup, another is my laptop). I recently checked for Office Updates and Microsoft ran a test to ensure I had a Genuine Microsoft product. Unfortunately for me I did this on the main computer first, then the backup, and when I got to the laptop I was denied the update because Microsoft put a block apparently due to the fact I had already updated two computers. Reading their FAQ, they say that even if you don't have a "Genuine" Microsoft product (which I do), they will still allow updates and security patches....but they conveniently don't explain how to do that. Can anyone help? It's obviously important to have all the security patches for Office (as well as the operating system, for which I have no problem updating).
